BENJAMIN SAI-CHIU MARK CHOW Benjamin died peacefully on February 19, 2000 at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, Man., in the loving presence of his wife Amy and daughter Helsa. Born in China on August 24, 1945, Benjamin spent his childhood in Hong Kong. He came to North America in 1965, settled in Manitoba in 1967, and graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1971. Upon graduation, he began a 29 year teaching career with Red River College. Benjamin lived his life with dignity and grace. He will be greatly missed, and always remembered. Mass of the Resurrection shall be held at Chapel of Christ The King, St. Pauls College, University of Manitoba, 70 Dysart Rd., on February 26 at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Fr. Luis Melo, S.M. officiating. Thank you to all doctors and staff at GD6, Health Sciences Centre, and Palliative Care, St. Boniface General Hospital. Thank you to the parishioners of Chapel of Christ The King, and Rev. Fr. Luis Melo, S.M. A special thank you to family and friends for their prayers and support. Met Ben in Wpg & learned he worked & lived in Thompson in its early years of development. I had lived there in that time and after. Ben was a good man & a man with integrity & kindness.
